In the summer of 2013, a then struggling artist who calls herself The Last Artful, Dodgr decides to quit her job and pursue music full time. She writes a song about how when (note: not "if") she gets on Sway In The Morning, she'll "rip it to shreds" & how her career will proceed to take off from there.
In November of 2016, she gets her shot on the coveted radio show she had wished for, and she does, in fact, rip it to shreds.
Today, we give you the song that made it happen.
Let's see what happens from here...

When I get on Sway In The Morning,
believe I'mma rip it to shreds
Teach Heather B how to properly turn up
and twist-up them dreads
Yet I'm still a nobody,
nobody knows that yet,
For now I'm yellin Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe magazine
Kendrick on it with Miggy
Tryna get my own cover, that's PARTySIZE
with my whole party up wit'me
But I just quit my job
And rent, that's due next week
So let's just bust this other line
And stay on the grind in our sleep,
Dream big, dream little, dream hard
Life the roller coaster in my little theme park
Like, you're never old enough to live a bit, right?
You're never old enough to give a shxt... pshhh, psych
1 kite in a flag war,
Patiently waiting on what?
Eye to the sky, one direction - that's up
Pride to the side, dummy, follow yo' gut
Just do it
Black and white [Ni']keys on my feet,
Every step note-worthy
I'm a G in the streets,
I'm an alpha Bette -- that new Midler, betch
and these Beaches ain't seeing me!
Sea sick in a V6
Honey, no dramamine
HO, NO DRAMA!
No sign on me read "yo mama"
No stoppin me, bro, no comma
Kill it with it entitlement
Meant to be titled a legend
Sum of her environment, one of its kind
and ain't none of you mxtches impressin
Cuz you need that,
bless in peace and I mean that...
