After Royce Wood Junior's 2021 magnum opus, 'No Two Blue Ticks' (FSX-050: freshselects.bandcamp.com/album/no-two-blue-ticks) and the subsequent 'Two Ticks Loose Bits' EP (FSX-053: freshselects.bandcamp.com/album/two-ticks-loose-bits) – he told us that from now on he wanted to release "bangers only."

Well... so far he's 2 for 2 on making good on that promise, following up last winter's "Stuck and Tangled Up" (FSX-054-01: freshselects.bandcamp.com/album/stuck-and-tangled-up) here with "You're So Fuckin Perfect" – a funk-fueled, Lucey Way-led jam with a smirk.

"We are in the midst of an Ai revolution. What an insane time. Will we live? Will we die? We are creating Gods and not in our own image. Will it need us in 5 years... I'm not sure. One thing's for certain though – now it's here, it ain't going anywhere.

Here's a song about being scared about it but also a bit addicted to it. :)

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
